Content Policy

Edovate values the opportunity to help students develop strong character and positive thinking. As a faith-based company with users from all walks of life, we also seek to provide a wholesome learning experience and protect the biblical worldview.

Unacceptable Content

As a K-12 educational resource trusted by families and schools alike, Edovate is dedicated to producing high-quality, clean content. Therefore, avoid the following.

  • sexual themes
  • smoking, drugs, or alcohol
  • resources that contain swearing/cursing
  • nudity in art or resources depicting art (Grecian urns, sculptures, paintings, etc.)
  • promotion of violence

Political Content

Many topics today have become hyper-politicized, setting an agenda behind education that is damaging both students and society. Therefore, all content must remain politically neutral. Follow these directives to prevent promoting one politicized view over another.

  • Use statements of fact rather than statements of opinion.
  • Attempt to present both sides of the argument unbiasedly.
  • Avoid making a political controversy the focus of the content.

Science and History

There are many different theories on the origin of life. The educational system’s lack of exposure to various theories is a weakness. Students are often only provided instruction in the differing theories of evolution but not an intellectual examination of creation or intelligent design.

Edovate seeks to provide a biblical world and life view in its lessons; however, a responsible education challenges students to be aware of the prevailing theories and equips them to defend their opinions.

Therefore, all references to evolution, creation, old-earth and young-earth theories, plant and animal adaptations, intelligent design, etc., must be presented as a theory, not fact. Alternate views should also be included, as well as an opportunity for the student to analyze all views.

Family Values

Families come in all shapes and sizes and can be filled with different values and beliefs. Therefore, promoting any idea over another and casual physical intimacy has no place. Content must not be too mature for students.

NOTE: Writers strive to comply with these guidelines.
Editors must comply.
